Privacy Policy

1. Data We Do NOT Collect

Lean does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following on external servers:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Health data (weight, meals, doses, side effects)
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash reports

Lean does not require an account to use. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profile stored on any server.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

All data you enter into Lean is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it (via the Export or Doctor Report features).

3. Apple Health (HealthKit)

Lean can read and write weight data to Apple Health if you grant permission. This integration is optional and controlled entirely by you through iOS Settings. Lean does not access any other HealthKit data categories.

Apple Health data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Apple Watch

If you use the Lean Apple Watch companion app, your daily protein intake and next dose information are synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This data transfer happens directly between your paired devices and does not pass through any external server.

5. Widgets

Lean provides an iOS home screen widget that displays your current protein intake. Widget data is shared between the main app and the widget extension using a local App Group container on your device. No data is sent externally.

6. Notifications

Lean can send local notifications for dose reminders, meal reminders, and weigh-in reminders. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device using Apple's local notification system. No push notification server is involved, and no tokens or identifiers are transmitted.

7. Data Export

Lean offers two export features:

• JSON export: Exports all your data as a JSON file that you can save or share.
• Doctor Report: Generates a PDF summary of your progress for sharing with your healthcare provider.

Both exports are generated locally on your device. Where you send the exported file is entirely your choice and responsibility.

8. Third-Party Services

Lean does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Lean does not contain any SDKs from third parties that collect user data.

9. Children's Privacy

Lean is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

10. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all Lean data at any time by:

• Deleting individual entries within the app (More > History)
• Deleting the Lean app from your device, which removes all associated data

There is no server-side data to delete because we never collect it.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
